THE READING WRITER
Last week in FFW Small Markets, I covered how adults don't read
enough. Yet they complain that children don't read enough.

Then I came across a blog called Lifehacker, and an article
entitled Literary Gluttony: How to Consume More Books This Year.

The piece not only tells you why reading is good for you, using
such arguments as making you more intelligent, more empowered,
more proud and more aware of the world, but the author gives
you suggestions on how to read, read more and read faster. For

As writers, we should be devouring books, but most of us can't
get through one every couple of months. Not a good thing for
writers hoping to publish. Reading is growing. I wrote an
original comments last week on the subject. Several have asked

$1,000 per month. For those who need assistance with this
fee the SFAI offers need based scholarships. Application and
